Regulations: Rally Fire Extinguisher – Circuit Racing Fire Extinguishers | FIA Approved Fire Extinguishers

As it stands; most rally car fire extinguisher regulations require a large plumbed-in extinguisher for discharge into both cockpit and engine bay as well as an appropriate FIA hand-held extinguisher.

Autocross & Rally cross regulations require a medium plumbed-in extinguisher for discharge into both cockpit and engine bay.

Circuit racing regulation Periods A-F require a medium hand operated extinguisher for discharge into both cockpit and engine bay. Everything other than Periods A-F require a medium hand operated extinguisher for discharge into both cockpit and engine bay.

Many other types of racing such as Cross Country, Sprint, Hillclimb, Drag, Oval Racing and Auto tests do not require a fire extinguisher as per the rule book, but at the very least we recommend a small hand operated extinguisher is fitted such as those required for Trials.
